5

LANDRY IS 5!
I can't believe this little ray of sunshine is 5 whole years old.

5 years with a fabulous little girl who is beyond everything we could've dreamt up. She is sweet, fierce, smart, imaginative, funny, unafraid, and self assured. 2020 was quite a weird year to have a little one. Trying to explain to a 4 year old why she couldn't finish school, why she can't go to the park, or why she can't have play dates was no easy task. She wasn't always thrilled with the changes nor did she understand but it was so nice for me to be home with her. One thing about being stuck at home for the good part of a year is that her creativity and imagination flourished even more if that's possible.

She went back to dance later in the year and had an awesome recital performance! She was so fun to watch and you could tell she had a blast on stage. She wants to get back into tumbling and is going to start soccer this spring!

We had a fun summer with lots of swimming at Jan and Marks house, she even did flips off the diving board! Just watched Jaris do it and then walked right to the edge and did it...no fear. She also loved going off the diving board with mom and dad so you could touch the bottom. She loves the water!

She is still the queen of imaginary play and since she hasn't been able to go to school she's really had to step up her playtime! She's really into barbies, loves (stuffed animals), dress up. She is so creative with her outfits she puts together. They are crazy and don't match and you'd never know if it was summer or winter outside...usually she's dressed for summer on winter days. She went through a stage where she wore swimsuits every day for probably 3 months. I finally had to put them up in high so she had to choose something else! But we love seeing what outfit you put together everyday...we joke you'll one day be an editor for Vogue.

Landry Marie, you are such a light to so many. To know you is to love you. You are always making us laugh, always keeping us on our toes, and never afraid to be yourself.  You are a free spirit and we love that about you. My most favorite thing about you is all of your random time you say I love you. We'll be driving along and you say, "hey mom....I love you." I'll be cooking and you'll walk through the kitchen and say, "hey mom, I love you."  It melts me every time. Don't ever change sweet girl. We love you to the moon and back.

Happy 5th Birthday.
