From this... THIS...

That is amazing.  We had our 12 week appointment today and the main focus of this appointment was to get images to test for trisomy 13, 18, and down syndrome.  I also had to have my finger pricked (which hurt more than having my blood drawn and I never want to do it again :)) for a blood test.  These two test are about 95% accurate, we'll know the results in a few weeks but the ultrasound tech said from her perspective everything looks beautiful.  The test is called Nucal Translucency
Up to this appointment I still hadn't felt pregnant so in the back of my mind I kept thinking that nothing was going to show up on the ultrasound but as soon as she put that thing on my stomach, there it was.  I just started laughing and saying "oh my gosh it's a baby!" I couldn't stop laughing!  It was so amazing to have an hour long ultrasound, we were able to see the baby move it's arms and legs, it had the hiccups, covered it's little face with it's hand, gave a big stretch, crossed and uncrossed it's was crazy.  All that movement and I can't feel a thing!
The baby was measuring 5 almost 6 cm and it's heart rate was 155.  I can't stop smiling :) That appointment was perfect and I feel so blessed.
I'm so in love already.

As my best friend Kristy said this baby has my legs! :)

I love the little nose!

*Almost forgot...I wanted to make sure and write down a few things.
...still not one day of morning sickness...thank goodness!
...I'm not as tired as I use to be although headaches are becoming more frequent.
...I've been eating a lot of cereal.  Captain Crunch is my number one choice (with the berries of course :)) and Coco Pebbles is second.
I think that's it for now!

1st craving...?

I think...I had my first craving.  I had just gotten home from work and pumpkin pie just popped into my head and I just HAD to have a piece. I really didn't want to get back out again but Brett was working out and I couldn't stop thinking about it.  So off to the store I went.  It was soooo delicious and totally satisfied my craving!

And since everyone has been asking here it is...a 3 month picture.

AND not all of you have voted so go and vote now!!! Baby Temple

Sioux City

This past weekend Brett and I headed north to Sioux City IA to visit my family! We got a late start Friday night and thanks to all the construction we didn't get in till around midnight! I have the best video of our road trip but blogger isn't cooperating with me. I've tried it 8 different times so I'm just giving up!

Saturday we woke up early and went to see my new baby cousin! My cousin Chris and his wife Celesity just had their first baby September 20th and she is SO STICKIN' CUTE! She's one of those "perfect" babies...perfectly shaped head and the cutest face!

After that we went to my FAVORITE place in Sioux City...Milwaukee Wiener! Oh man..this place has the best hot dogs...ever. I eat there every time I go back, it's still old fashioned, they still serve pop in the glass bottles, and still wear the fun little hats. It's so good, I had 3 hot dogs (I know...I'm a cow) and a chocolate milk shake...

We than headed to my grandparents house to visit with them for awhile and after that we went to my aunt Wendy's house. She moved out to the country and I haven't seen her place yet so I wanted to make sure we got out there! We had Savannah with us and had a great time riding the four-wheelers (don't worry I went really slow and missed all the bumps :)), looking at Mikes sweet car collection, and had a great dinner.

Sunday we went back out to Wendy's so I could take some family photos for my aunt Sarah, here's a little preview of Savannah...

(If your wondering my hair look's because it's fixed now. Long story.)

The trip home would have been better if the Cowboys and the Rangers won their games but we did get to stop at Taco Bueno in KC. We had a great time!

*Pregnancy Update*
I'm starting to see the effects of pregnancy...on my face...and around my waist. I've been really lucky so far and haven't had ANY morning sickness or nausea. However this weekend I've noticed pregnancy has taken my face captive. My chin and jaw line especially are taking a hit. I've never had a problem with acne and I know it comes with the pregnancy territory but I don't like hate it. I still don't really "feel" pregnant. Maybe it's because I skipped morning sickness or something but I just don't feel it. I just feel like I'm breaking out and getting wider. I'm just sooooooooo ready to start showing!
Ok that's my the end of my complaint :) I have a lot of photos coming up in the next few weeks so I'll be busy busy!

Friday was my birthday and I had a great day!  It actually started on Wednesday when we went to dinner with all the family.  I made some pretty good cupcakes if I do say so myself :)  I had the day off Friday so I ran a ton of errands, I finally got a side table in our living room so we don't have the KU stool anymore and a new vase for the table but now I need a bigger lamp!  I went to Hobby Lobby and Tuesday Morning and got a few Christmas things because I don't have a very good collection so far...slowly but surely I'm adding things! We had dinner plans for that night to eat in Kansas City at a place called Nikko's.  Amazing Japanese steakhouse...go there if you get a chance!  Long story short Brett had tricked me into thinking it was just going to be us there but when we got there our friends AND my sisters were all there! He's so sneaky ;)  We had a great dinner and went out for a little bit afterward and had lots of fun! Besides the fact that I'm now only 4 short years away from 30, it was a great day!
Saturday we picked up my parents king size mattress they so graciously gave us!! And a good thing because with me, my body pillow, Brett, and Maisy (and a soon to be growing belly) it was getting pretty crowded! I'm so excited for this bed...not only for more space but that means we get new bedding! And since the guest room is becoming a nursery we have to move the desk in to our room so that means our room can finally start to look like a grown up room!  Kelly is going to redo our dresser and eventually (hopefully before x-mas) we'll have new side tables.  I'm starting a project this week for the side wall...I'm pretty excited about it!  I'm going to have 3 sort of big shelves with big picture frames on two of the shelves with pictures of Brett and I that my sister is taking soon.  And on the third shelf I'm going to do a canvas painting (I've had this idea for awhile) of a sort of faded grey background and in kind of a sloppy cursive, paint parts of our wedding vows. I'm going to start the canvas hopefully this week so I'll let you know how it goes! I've drawn a little picture so you can see my vision lol. Enjoy it :)

lol cute huh!?  I'm anxiously awaiting our next doctors appointment but the 28th seems soooooooo far away!  I can't wait to see how much the baby has grown since the last ultrasound!  I put a pool link on Facebook and so far the results are pretty entertaining!  Only 3 votes for red hair vs 6 for brown! If you haven't voted yet go ahead...Temple Baby Pool!
This weekend Brett and I are heading to Sioux City to visit my family! I'm super excited to see Savannah and my cousin Chris and his wife Celesity just had their first baby 2 weeks ago so I can't wait to see her either! Should be a fun trip, I'll post when I get back!
