BIG UPDATE

Holy cow it's been WAY too long since I've posted and SO much has happened since then! Way back in October I posted about how Brett's job was taking us to Atlanta.  Since then Brett and I had been searching for a town that felt like it could be our home and nothing stood out to us. Not one town or city made us feel like we were going to be happy. We were literally all over the map. We would settle on one town and then change our minds to another town all the way on the other side of Atlanta. The other thing, we could never find a place to live. Either the house was terrifying or the school district was bad. We couldn't find one that had both. We hated to be negative but we really just weren't having good luck with Georgia. In fact...about 2 weeks out from when we were supposed to move, we still had no idea where we were going to go.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

My SIL had a friend who blogged. She lived in Prosper Texas. After following her for a few years I always said to Brett if we ever had to move back to Texas I would want to live in Prosper. Well God clearly heard my worries about Atlanta and decided it was our time...because 2 weeks out from our move to Atlanta (when we didn't know where we going to live) Brett was offered a promotion. Not only did this promotion mean better security for us as a family but it meant we weren't moving to Atlanta. We were re-routed to the Dallas area. Well we had to work fast because school started ASAP.  After 2 days of looking we came across a rental in Prosper. As soon as we walked in we said, "we are done looking, this is it."

We are in an amazing neighborhood. FILLED with kids, wonderful families, awesome neighbors, a pool literally right across the street, and parks. And we are in PROSPER. Everything fell into place for us so easily once we decided on this house. That NEVER happens to us. EVER.

The house is perfect AND the education system is one of the best in the state. We've been in the house almost 2 weeks now and I still can't believe we found it. In a year or two we plan to buy in this neighborhood. I knew I didn't want to be in a busy city and Prosper is growing but right now it is the perfect mix of country with city conveniences. It stayed little for so long that everything that is developing, is brand new so it looks beautiful. At the same time on my way home it's waiting for trains to cross, open cotton fields, cows, horses, and longhorns. We are little out from everything but I love the feeling of having to "go into town" for errands.

In town we wanted. In an amazing neighborhood. Great schools. Small town love.

How did that happen for us? Jeremiah 29:11. Sometimes it's so hard to trust that plan but there is hope and there is a future.

I miss our family like crazy. Like CRAZY. But we firmly believe a new chapter is being written for us and we are just going to enjoy his plan.

Enjoying our new pool!
